How the line is organized

The services Cook’s offers fall into four groups, and the tiles below follow that order.

Cooling covers the general A/C service call, repair, maintenance, new unit installation, thermostats and geothermal systems. In this part of Florida it’s the bulk of the year’s work.

Heating covers heat pumps (service, repair, maintenance and installation), furnaces (the same four) and heating services in general. The heating side matters more the further inland and north the house sits: a Live Oak or Lake City winter asks real questions of a heat pump that a Palm Coast winter never does.

Air quality covers whole-house filtration, dehumidification, ventilation and duct cleaning, built mostly around the Lennox Healthy Climate line.

Commercial covers the repair, maintenance and installation of rooftop and split systems for businesses, with agreements written per site.

What’s the same on every truck

A Cook’s service van is stocked at the Palm Coast shop before it leaves, with the parts that fail most often on residential equipment of any brand. Technicians are trained at that shop and work the same diagnostic checklist in Jacksonville as in Ocala. Readings are logged, so the next visit starts from the last one.

What changes with the map

Coastal markets, St. Augustine and Ormond Beach especially, push the work toward corrosion: coated coils, rinse schedules, condenser placement. Inland markets, Gainesville, Palatka and the rest, push it toward heating capacity, older housing and longer duct runs. The company pages below describe the standard; the local pages describe the exceptions.

About the service line

Is every one of these services available in every market?

Yes. Nothing on the list is limited to Palm Coast. Specialized work like geothermal or commercial installs is scheduled a little further out in the far markets, but it’s offered everywhere.

Why does the same service have a page here and on my local site?

This page describes the company standard: what the technician checks, what’s carried, how we train. The local page covers what that service tends to involve in your county, with drive times and neighborhoods. Read either; book on the local one.

Which service should I pick if I don't know what's wrong?

Don’t pick. Call, describe the symptom, and dispatch will send a service technician. Most calls that start as ‘the AC isn’t working’ end up as a repair, and the diagnostic covers the figuring-out.
